The first five years are crucial for all children in developing the skills they need as the workforce of tomorrow.\n\nYoung children need a nurturing family\, quality healthcare\, sound nutrition\, adequate housing and appropriate recreation in order to thrive.  Their parents or caregivers may need a variety of enabling and supportive services to allow them to provide for and nurture their children.\n\nUnited Way of Hays County\, along with our partner Community Action Inc. of Central Texas Head Start\, invites you to spend the morning with us dialouging about how we as a community can use education as a weapon to change Hays & Caldwell Counties for the better.\n\nFriday\, May 6\n\n8:00am-1:30pm\n\nHoliday Inn San Marcos\n\n105 Bintu Drive\n\n$35 per person - includes breakfast and lunch\n\nRegistrants will receive 1.5 business CEU and 1.5 education CEU credits\n\n \n\nThe Early Childhood Education Summit will bring together subject matter experts\, community members\, business and civic leaders\, early childhood professionals and non-profit executives to consider ways the community can address the early childhood education issues facing Hays & Caldwell Counties.\n\n\n\nSpeakers include:  Libby Doggett\, Ph.D.\, US.
