DESCRIPTION:Persons interested in learning more about the road bonds proposed for the May election are invited to attend two public information meetings being hosted by the City of Kyle Mobility Committee.\n\nThe meetings will be held at Kyle City Hall on January 19th and 26th. The meetings are scheduled to begin at 10am and will last about two hours.\n\nMembers of the Mobility Committee and City staff will be on hand to present the various road projects and answer questions about the timing and fiscal impacts of the projects.\n\nThe Kyle City Council is considering putting a bond package before the voters as part of the May 2013 election. The bonds would finance engineering and design services and construction\, repair and improvements of up to five road projects identified during the City's Visioning process conducted in 2012.\n\nThe road projects are the reconstruction of Burleson\, Lehman\, Goforth\, and Bunton Roads as well as the extension of Marketplace Avenue to Burleson Road. The total impact on the tax rate is estimated to be about $.20 per $100 of valuation on the average Kyle home. The council will consider which projects to include in the bond package and how to phase in the projects to minimize the impact on homeowners.\n\nThere will be of a number of meetings where the city council will be working out the specifics of the bond package.\n\nA complete analysis of the proposed road projects is available on at cityofkyle.com.
