SUMMARY:Santa's Arrival and Tree Lighting Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:Since 1999\, Kyle has invited Santa to take part in the Tree Lighting event in downtown. The Wednesday after Thanksgiving\, December 3\, 2014\, the City of Kyle welcomes Santa to town. Join us at City Square Park for the official Kyle Kick off to the Holidays.  Santa will be available to take pictures (you must bring your own camera\, we will not have a photographer available).  School choirs from local elementary\, middle and high schools will be performing holiday songs\, there will be free activities for the children\, and food vendors to satisfy your hunger or thirst.  Its always a great time.  So come out and help us ring in the holiday season.\n\n \n\nSchedule of Events\n\n3:00 pm - Santa tours Kyle with Kyle Fire Department\n\n4:30 pm - *Santa arrives at Historic Kyle City Hall\n\n4:45 pm - School choir performances begin at the Gazebo (flyer for schedule of choirs will be attached when confirmed)\n\n              - Pictures with Santa begin. (Bring your own camera\, there will not be a photographer available to take pictures for you)\n\n5:30 pm - Pictures with Santa will be stopped to prepare Santa for the Tree Lighting Ceremony\n\n5:45 pm - *Santa helps the Mayor flip the switch on the City Tree located at City Square Park\n\n6:00 pm - School choir performances continue\n\n              - *Santa gets a 10 minute break\n\n7:45 pm - *Line for Santa closes\n\n8:20 pm - Final Choir Performance Begins\n\n8:30 pm - *Pictures with Santa concludes\n\n8:42 pm - Last choir takes the stage\n\n8:45 pm - *Santa must return to North Pole\n\n9:00 pm - Event concludes\n\n \n\n* This time of year\, Santa's schedule is very busy. These times must be kept to keep his schedule for his return in a few weeks.
