SUMMARY:World War II Museum Hosts Casino Night in Hangar
DESCRIPTION:San Marcos\, TX (March 20\, 2018) - On April 14th\, the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Central Texas Wing will host its 7th Annual Casino Night in the CAF hangar at San Marcos Regional Airport. This fundraiser supports our mission of restoring and flying vintage military aircraft.\n\nJoin us at a fantastic setting of gaming tables surrounded by historic vintage aircraft\, door prizes\, silent auction\, $20\,000 in Casino money\, and a chance to win a History Flight on the B-25 Yellow Rose.  Casino night will feature\, Blackjack\, Roulette\, Texas Hold 'Em\, Poker\, Craps\, and Slot Machines\, and guests can also visit our historic museum\, aviation library\, or gift shop. Food trucks will be on site with a variety of food for purchase\, as well as a cash bar.\n\n A highlight this year will be the opportunity to see and tour the C-47 That's All\, Brother\, the aircraft that was the lead C-47 dropping paratroopers in Normandy on D-Day\, June 6\, 1944.\n\nTickets are $30 each in advance ($35 at the door) and available online at the wing's website\, www.centraltexaswing.org\, or by contacting Phil Bonasera at (512) 781-9284. Only 350 tickets will be sold.  \n\nAbout the Central Texas Wing\n\nThe Central Texas Wing is part of the Commemorative Air Force (CAF)\, an educational non-profit 501(c)3 organization founded in 1957.  The CAF has more than 12\,000 members and 165 vintage operational military aircraft located around the nation\, representing the world's largest flying museum.  Established in March of 1974\, the Central Texas Wing is home to seven aircraft housed in a World War II hangar at San Marcos Regional Airport.  Wing aircraft conduct history flights\, flyovers\, and attend air shows around the country. Three major fundraisers held annually support the restoration and maintenance of our historic aircraft. The Wing is open M-W-F-Sat from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for tours to school groups\, civic and military organizations\, ROTC cadets\, scout organizations and the general public from throughout the Central Texas Region
